Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED represents Asus’ commitment to innovation since its introduction a few years ago, and it has evolved since then. In this year’s Duo, ergonomics have been improved and the layout has been streamlined for greater functionality. Multitasking is complemented by dual screens, allowing you to simultaneously work and play.
A power-packed, feature-rich machine that performs basic computing tasks is what these machines are supposed to be. What improvements does Asus make to this product, and does it become even better? After using the ZenBook Pro with dual screen for a few weeks, we found the answer.
ASUS ZENBOOK Pro 14
The display is the obvious place to start in this review. 2.8K resolution is available on the main screen, which is a 14.5-inch OLED display. The screen also has a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes it fluid, and the touch response is quick. IPS panels are used on the second display, which measures 12.7 inches and comes with a 120Hz refresh rate this year.
Colors are punchy, and the display quality is excellent for those who need a screen with the right tone. Viewing angles are good, and the screen is a treat even for watching content.
Our unit features a 12th generation Intel Core i9 processor and 32GB of RAM. This might be overkill for most of you, but Asus has other variants that might work for you if your budget allows. There were no performance issues, whether we were gaming, light video editing, or running Chrome with 20-25 tabs open to push the CPU. The built-in NVIDIA graphics is helpful, but it is not the best version.
Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED’s design can be polarising, especially with its small keyboard and a wide trackpad on the right. A matte finish is applied to the second display, which sits at a higher angle. The hinge gives the chassis additional durability, while the build quality is solid and premium for a product in this price range.
Despite its light weight, the Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED is one of the lightest in its category. You can comfortably carry the laptop in your bag thanks to its dimensions. A special mention should also be made about the audio quality of the Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED’s speakers.
After using Asus for a considerable period of time, we are certain that the brand lives up to its claims. We have sometimes listened to music while working, or watched a movie using the built-in speaker. There is a lot of colour in the speakers that are powered by Dolby.
Asus ZENBOOK Pro 14 Duo Oled Review
Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED has a few issues, and we’re going to point them out here. One of the most critical factors is average battery life, which means you always need a large charger nearby. Power under the hood takes a toll on the laptop’s efficiency due to its 2.8K OLED display. A matte finish would have been preferable to the main screen, which is quite reflective.
We felt the battery life of the company’s dual screen laptops was worth highlighting, even though the company says its customers don’t care about it. Some users may prefer to use an external mouse instead of the keyboard and trackpad. Although we noticed the machine was often heating up, nothing abnormal or alarming was happening.
There is also an intriguing issue with this laptop’s connectivity ports. In terms of connectivity, you have one standard USB port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI port, and a headphone jack. There should have been another USB port on the machine. The last matter of discussion is the price of the Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED. The unit we tested cost over Rs 2.3 lakh, and while the product may be impressive, it is still expensive.
